The Connecticut Sun, a successful WNBA franchise based in Uncasville, is for sale.

The team’s owner, casino operator Mohegan Sun, has hired New York investment bank Allen & Company to explore selling the franchise.

The Connecticut Sun’s predecessor, the Orlando Miracle, rebranded and relocated to Connecticut in 2003.

The team has been one of the most consistent teams in the WNBA, qualifying for the league playoffs in 15 of their 21 seasons.
